  RV-8 & RV-8A Paint Scheme Program

     Van's Aircraft RV-8 and the tricycle gear RV-8A are full size airplanes available in kit form that you can build at home. These are low wing aircraft of traditional aluminum construction with tandem seating for two. The RV-8 / 8A is part of the RV series from Van's Aircraft. The RV series airplanes are famous for their delightful handling and short field capabilities. In 2006, about 4,900 RV kits had been completed and flown, and thousands more are under construction.      Our MACD program is the perfect tool for designing a paint scheme for this very popular airplane. The program includes two models: RV-8 and RV-8A. Try our new RV-8 Model Viewer program below. This is a free download for you to get a real good look at the airplane model. You can view it from any angle or while it's flying in the R/C flight simulator. Some of the functions have been disabled. You won't be able to create, load or save paint schemes with the Model Viewer. For a full version free trial, see the Cap 232 program below.

The method of payment is by PayPal, in U.S. Dollars only.

To purchase, just click on the Buy Now button next to the program you want to buy. The online purchase will be performed at PayPal's secure website.

Please note: If you don't have a credit card, Paypal has an eCheck option. When you send money via eCheck, PayPal debits your bank account for the funds.

Download the Program

After Paypal accepts your payment, an email notification is sent to us. Normally, we process PayPal payment notifications the same day we receive them. We will then send you a confirmation email and a password to access the Client Download page. There, you can download the program you purchased. Please be aware that some PCs may not meet all of the system requirements needed to run MACD Version 2.3 Please read System Requirements for Version 2.3

Version 2.3 - System Requirements

Pentium class PC with 400 Mhz CPU, 128 MB memory and a mouse, or better.
A joystick is optional.

Windows 7/Vista/XP/2000/Me/98 with DirectX 8.0 or higher.

A DirectX 8.0 compatible Graphics Adapter with 3D hardware acceleration.
Any PC, built from the year 2001 until now, should already have 3D hardware
acceleration built in. If not, MACD V 2.3 will display a message for you. The free trial program will also inform you. You can download the free trial here.

Windows 7, Vista and XP users already have DirectX 8.0 or higher installed in their
systems so an upgrade is not required.

Users of Windows 98/Me/2000 will need to upgrade to DirectX 8 or 9, if you
haven't done so already. The DirectX End-User Runtime is a free download from
the Microsoft Download Center website.

Please download the free trial program if you're not sure that your system meets the requirements. It will display a message for you if it doesn't.
